Head of Data Insights - Buyagift

What you’ll be doing:We have an amazing opportunity for a Head of Data Insight to join our growing team reporting into our Chief Product and Technology Officer. We are looking for a person who is passionate about driving our strategy with data, analysis and insights with the ability to embed data into everyday decision-making across the whole organisation. You’ll be working in collaboration with your direct team of analysts (currently two), the product and engineering team, other internal stakeholders as well as the Senior Leadership Team. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with the Data Insight team who work on Moonpig brand.

This role would require you to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with:

• Defining and implementing an organisation wide data strategy including building business cases and showing ROI for expanding the team
• Be able to champion the use of data by inspiring your team and the wider business by telling powerful stories with data
• Empower our team to perform daily operations autonomously with self-serve data

And now about you:

• Experience applying statistical analysis techniques and quantitative methods in multiple business settings, one of which is ecommerce
• Experience in testing and optimisation, statistics, data visualization, tagging, and reporting
• Strong proficiency with SQL for data interrogation and transformation, adhering to industry best practices 
• Excellent understanding of commercial KPIs with strong ability in storytelling, providing proactive as well as reactive insights that will validate or change a course of action

Nice to haves:

• Significant experience with visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and/or similar tools
• Experience working with stakeholders in multiple business functions such as marketing, finance, commercial, operations and/or product
