WHAT TO EXPECT

The Global Manufacturing Engineering Logistics team is actively seeking a Data Management Lead to join their team at the Logistics Operations Centre in Solihull. As the Data Management Lead will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a “single source of truth” data set for all logistics operations within our manufacturing and logistics facilities. This role will play a critical role in ensuring data standardisation, accuracy, integrity, and accessibility, enabling informed decision-making and driving operational excellence in logistics processes.

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in defining and improving the future state of our Manufacturing Logistics value stream, driving process efficiency, and contributing to the development of our global Logistics Operating System.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement data collection, validation, and integration processes to consolidate data from disparate systems and sources into a centralised data repository
• Establish data quality standards, governance frameworks, and validation protocols to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of logistics data
• Develop and maintain data models and hierarchies to organise and structure logistics data in a meaningful and accessible format
• Monitor data usage, performance metrics, and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation of the logistics data management process
   

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Proven experience in data management, data governance, or data analytics roles, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of data management principles, data modelling techniques, and database technologies
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, with experience in SQL, Python, or other programming languages
• Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on delivering actionable insights through data
