The Role:

  • Our technology stack is primarily built on a Microsoft .Net stack, with an Angular front end, hosted on Azure and leverages elements of the Power Platform and Bus Apps. We have a polyglot of Raven Databases, Cosmos and SQL Server, and our wider teams also leverage the AWS stack.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in cross-functional teams with engineering, product, and design colleagues to embed a data-informed culture that helps drive innovation, prioritization, and quality solutions to customer problems and needs.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.

  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy throughout the data lifecycle.

  • Optimize data systems and pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Implement and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

  • Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.

  • Identify areas to develop self-serve data products and reporting, leveraging tools like Power BI.

  • Iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs for the journey.

  • Understand end-to-end product and system analytics.

  • Attend and contribute to all relevant team events and ceremonies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a Science related field, or evidence of strong self-taught data and analysis skills.

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on organizing and maintaining data.

  • Experience with different product metrics, including onboarding, servicing, and purchase journeys.

  • Strong SQL skills: extract, manipulate, transform, and analyze large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy.

  • Problem-solving skills that balance innovation with pragmatic technology choices to solve business needs.

  • Desirable to have web/mobile analytics and tagging experience.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic commercial product development environment.

  • Distinct customer focus and quality mindset.

  • Expertise in Web Analytics and Dynamics experience is desirable.

  • Fast and curious learner, with experience defining engineering best practices and providing technical mentorship to other members of the engineering team.
