Technical Data Engineer - Maintenance Manual (d/m/w)!

Short Introduction: 

Within technical support, our department is responsible for the preparation of the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.This describes how the maintenance is carried out and is part of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, which is used by customers as well as by TechReps or MRO during helicopter maintenance. The preparation is performed in close cooperation with development, experts from the support & services area, training, certification and other disciplines within the company.

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Independent analysis of change requests as well as customer comments and estimation of efforts regarding new creation or update of documentation

  • Analysis of technical documents (parts lists, drawings, technical notes) as well as supplier documents/spare parts catalogs with regards to maintenance measures and maintenance concept

  • Definition of the scope of changes in the manuals taking into account the existing helicopter configurations

  • Carrying out the changes or providing technical support to subcontractors for the creation of the individual data modules

  • Processing customer queries, reporting, data management and process improvement

  • Timely provision of ICA drafts for approval of changes/new developments to national/international aviation authorities

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Master/Bachelor in aeronautical engineering or comparable educational background (e.g. technician) with corresponding professional experience

  • Several years of experience in creating technical publication in the field of aviation (preferable for electrical systems and/or avionics)

  • Good knowledge of aviation regulations related to technical documentation

  • Experience in dealing with customers

  • Experience in helicopter maintenance or production is desirable

  • ILS knowledge is an advantage

  • Pronounced ability to work in a team but also independent way of working and resilience

  • English skills: business fluent

  • German skills: advanced
