Our ambitious FasterForward sustainability program sets us on a challenging pathway to being a zero carbon, zero waste business by 2030 and, perhaps most importantly, embedding relevant sustainability content inside all of our brands by 2025. We believe this is key to creating a more sustainable society and growing our business from the opportunity to support millions of our customers find sustainable solutions to challenges in their own sectors.

This sits within the Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Team which includes external and internal communications, brand, and digital communications and investor relations. This group reports directly into the Director of Investor Relations, Communications and Brand who is a member of the Executive Management Team. We also have dotted lines connecting us with the CEOs of the divisions.
The team is close knit, collaborative and supportive with plenty of room for growth and learning as well as peer coaching. With the fast-moving sustainability agenda, there’s always more we want to do as we seek to be a forerunner in sustainable events, publishing, data.
Our activities break down into three areas:
- Working with product teams to make the delivery of our products more sustainable and support our customer markets do the same
- Making Informa a better place to work through being a more responsible and sustainable business and enhancing our colleague value proposition, making life at Informa more engaging
- Meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectations around reporting and compliance, as well as anticipating and preparing for future needs in a fast-moving agenda
Each of these activities involves effective collaboration and partnership with teams from across the business backed up by strong evidence. We work with hard data but also rely on more nuanced communication that’s tailored to our audiences.
Beyond delivering what’s needed for today, the team works to understand future opportunities and risks. We support the business in becoming a forward-looking enterprise and this always means choosing the most important priorities.
Job Description
Introduction
We’re now at a crucial point in our FasterForward journey and compliance with sustainability reporting requirements. To meet our targets by 2025, we need to ensure that we understand where we are and how we’re progressing against each of our sustainability goals and communicate this clearly to all our stakeholders (colleagues, customers, and investors).
With the growing importance of sustainability within Informa and amongst our customers and investors, we’re seeing a growing interest in our performance which is being seen in an increase in data requests from indices, rankings, investors, customers and others. This in turn is requiring increasing sophisticated data tracking systems, analysis of performance and targeting projects to improve how we are doing.
