QA Analyst 2-ProdDev

Experience and solid understanding of the manual testing process, writing Selenium WebDriver scripts in Java, TestNG and testing RESTful API along with Python scripting with knowledge of machine learning (ML) modelling concepts and techniques. Additionally, hands on experience with Oracle Database, including knowledge of SQL for querying and comfortable working in a Unix-based environment.  

REQUIREMENTS

• Good understanding of the manual testing process, including test planning, test case design, test execution, defect logging, and test reporting. They should be able to create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and design documents.
• Proficiency in designing effective and efficient test cases that cover various scenarios, including positive and negative test cases, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and error guessing. Candidates should be able to prioritize test cases based on risk and criticality.
• Experience in implementing manual test cases, including test data preparation, environment setup, and test execution according to the test plan. Candidates should be able to identify and report defects accurately, providing clear and detailed information for developers to reproduce and fix issues.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ) and the defect lifecycle. Candidates should be able to log defects, track their status, perform defect triage meetings, and verify defect fixes.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other collaborators. Candidates should be able to articulate testing requirements, issues, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
• Experience in API testing, including testing RESTful APIs, understanding of HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), and knowledge of tools like POSTMAN for API testing and execution. 
• Experience to create and complete API test cases, validate response data, and handle authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Experience in writing Selenium WebDriver scripts in languages like Java or other supported languages. In-depth knowledge of TestNG, a testing framework for Java that provides functionalities such as test grouping, parallel execution, and reporting. 
• Experience to create and complete TestNG test cases. Experience in automating user interfaces (UI) using JavaScript frameworks. Typescript knowledge will be an addition.
• Knowledge of machine learning (ML) modelling concepts and techniques, including data pre-processing, feature engineering, model selection, and evaluation. Candidates should be familiar with popular ML libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Experience working with Oracle Database, including knowledge of SQL for querying, and managing data. Candidates should be able to write complex SQL queries, optimize database performance, and solve database-related issues.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux command-line operations, including file manipulation, process management, shell scripting, and system administration tasks. Candidates should be comfortable working in a Unix-based environment and using tools like grep, awk, sed, and bash scripting.
• Good knowledge, understanding and hands-on validating Highly Performant, Scalable and High Availability products.
• Align with good software engineering principles, including but not limited to standard coding, documentation, version control and testing practices.

Primary Skills

• Solid understanding of the manual testing and automation process.
• Experience in writing Selenium WebDriver scripts in languages like Java or other supported languages, In-depth knowledge of TestNG. 
• Experience in automating user interfaces (UI) using JavaScript frameworks. Typescript knowledge will be an addition.
• Experience working with Oracle Database, including knowledge of SQL for querying and managing data. 
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux command-line operations and shell scripting.

Secondary – Knowledge / Skills / Domain

• Demonstrated and performed software testing on application deployed on cloud is a significant plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing prioritize.

• Experience in working on products that have transitioned to 'Cloud' from a deployment perspective would be an added advantage.
• Collaboration and project management tools: JIRA, Confluence
• Energetic, Attention to details, software quality and ability to work independently.
• Relevant experience in Service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a geographically distributed organization.
