As an Actuarial Support Analyst, you’ll be part of the Actuarial Research and Development Team and will be responsible for predictive models related to state pricing and product changes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop proactive countrywide rating models displaying value to the organization.
  • Maintain countrywide pricing models, incorporating consistent predictive modeling practices to ensure version control.
  • Communicate rate change information to Product Managers and business unit leaders.
  • Monitor rate adequacy and competitiveness; performing analysis that guides products, services, and business understanding.
  • Gather data from relational databases utilizing coding language, reporting software, and Microsoft Office products to create reports/exhibits.
  • Automate and streamline existing reports.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis used across the business or in support of department or corporate projects.

This Might Describe You:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field.
  • Successful completion of 1 or more actuarial exams.
  • Some previous actuarial experience.
  • Experience with at least one coding language/statistical package (such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, Emblem).
  • Excellent ability to analyze various forms of statistical data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Other things to note

  • This position can be worked as a remote position within the United States.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
