Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like Solar and Batteries. Today we develop, construct, and operate wind generation and solar and batteries installations in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK

We’re now looking for a Junior Data Analyst in BU Offshore Wind.

Data are key to most modern organisations! In BU Offshore we obtain and analyse weather (and other) data to optimize our offshore construction works. We assess resource (people) related data to understand how many people we need in which project phase. We are continuously looking into how we can broaden the data basis which is subject to our analysis and are running innovative projects to understand e.g., how we can apply artificial intelligence in our projects.

Job Description

As Junior Data Analyst you have the following key responsibilities:

  • You support several Offshore Wind projects in analysing installation scenarios and assessing the weather impact; you do this mainly to optimize the offshore installation works and to build up the project business case;
  • During construction you manage and operate our Daily Progress Reports tool to track progress of the installation works and to show performance of our subcontractors doing the installation;
  • You provide input to our Project Planner enabling them to build up a robust project schedule, capturing all project activities including the expected weather downtime;
  • You manage, develop and maintain other tools which are part of our Data Analysis Ecosystem (for resource planning, KPI Dashboards etc).; and
  • You engage with several stakeholders across the BU Offshore organisation to understand how we can improve our data analysis to even better support our BU Offshore projects

You use tools to visualize results of your data analysis; the visualization is a key tool of your communication with your stakeholders. You are keen to develop the area of Data Analysis further to make BU Offshore an even more innovative working place.

  • You are convinced that only a team can make the project a success, which is why you communicate openly, directly, respectfully, and efficiently to identify with others the best solution to a problem.

  • Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written.
  • You have good command of tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Power BI or similar.

Please note that this role will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
