Data Analyst

Global O-Ring and Seal, an established industrial distributor in Houston, TX, is looking for a Data Analyst. We are seeking a smart, motivated recent college graduate for this role. The Data Analyst position will help with product information management, price analysis, production forecasting, and planning. While you do not need a lot of experience, we are looking for somebody who demonstrates our core values of honesty, integrity, and helpfulness.

• Work with business leaders to develop reports and provide analysis to optimize our business in these functional areas; pricing, product information, process development, and more
• Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
• Use graphs, tables, infographics, and other methods to visualize data
• Structure large data sets to find useful information
• Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions

• Analyze and report for the purchasing team
• Prepare Ad Hoc reports as requested
• Handle creation and maintenance of monthly reports for management/operations
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with reporting and analytics
• Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings

Requirements

• Required: Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills. Must be familiar with Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, and visualization (charts/graphs). Google Apps Script or Excel VBA knowledge is preferred but not required.
