Job description

Context and Background

Digital Development and Innovation aims to integrate data management and data-driven decision-making, creating value for the SBM Offshore organization. Our mission includes fostering automation, enhancing efficiency, and pursuing continuous improvement. There is an ambition to lead the SBM Offshore’s Digital Transformation journey and be a strong and valuable partner to the business.

As part of this journey, we are looking at a BI Developer, who will be part of the DDI team.

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for:

• designing and implementing effective business intelligence solutions that support the goals and objectives of an organization.
• creating data visualizations, datasets, and reports that provide insights into business performance, trends, and patterns.
• ensuring that Power BI (PBI) solutions are scalable and meet the needs of business users. To be successful in this role, you should have strong technical skills, be able to analyze complex data, and have a good understanding of business intelligence concepts.
• Integrating data and working closely with data architects, data engineers, and data analysts
• design, development, and implementation of BI solutions using Azure cloud, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and other Azure services
• developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Azure data stores
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Azure technology and BI best practices
• Providing technical support and training to users on the effective use of BI solutions
   

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in BI development, with a focus on Azure technology
• Strong proficiency in Power BI
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficient in SQL, DAX, and tabular modelling (Python knowledge a big plus)
• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate, including creating custom connectors and integrations. (a plus)
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience with data modeling and data warehousing techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
