Collins Aerospace is looking for an experienced Master Data Governance Analyst working remotely and reporting to Landing Systems Manager, Materials Master Data Governance. You will be responsible for data integrity and compliance for the SAP Material Master and Bill of Material. You will also adhere and ensure business compliance to the Landing System (LS) Standard Work, including but not limited to process flows that support the data workflow and standard procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of all SAP parameter creation and changes. You will facilitate and advocate for Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM), supporting the business in best practice and continuous improvement initiatives on supporting data management.

What You Will Do:

  • Professional support and continuous learning of master data directly or indirectly associated with effective materials management.
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP, preferably with material master, bill of material, work center master data, production versions, and rate routing master data and setup.
  • Collaborate across LS sites and Landing Systems Materials Management organization to ensure LS standard work for Materials Master Data Governance is up to date, robust, and meets the needs of the business.
  • Identify misalignment between site requirements and Collins Aerospace or LS Materials Management standard work and raise to resolve.
  • Identify and escalate potential areas of risk associated with critical functional interfaces at the site level associated with policy, process or SAP data elements and escalate with recommendations.
  • Work with other information technology personnel to develop quality best practice standards.
  • Support implementation of audit and compliance requirements for data governance related activities to include timing and frequency of standard audits.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos to optimize business results and encourage the overall growth and maturity of LS Materials Management function.
  • Creating new or similar-to parts in SAP via Engineering Requests as well as reviewing Material Master ad-hoc change requests and updating SAP accordingly via a workflow process and/or Materials Management Request form (MMR). 
  • Responsible for creating and / or updating the Bill of Material (BOM) in SAP, as required.  
  • Responsible for ensuring “impact analysis” has been completed by the requestor, specifically as it relates to a potential increase in inventory and/or an increase in SAP messages. 
  • Review forms and workflow and own timeliness and compliance by review and audit of MMR and workflow to procedures as well as follow-up with originators and/or owners of specific steps in workflow. 
  • Ensure all change management is approved and signed off by the business for continuous improvement regarding process or data for the Material Master and Bill of Material (BOM), and that the appropriate LS standard work is updated. 
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, or annual audits as required. 
  • Escalate risk or issues related to part setup impacting customer satisfaction or impact on inventory. 
  • Own and execute training plan to new Materials personnel on the Material Master Request form (MMR), workflow process, SAP material master, and SAP Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
  • 3 or more years of SAP data management and/or materials management expertise in a manufacturing industry.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in a Master Data Governance function supporting SAP.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 5 years’ experience with the SAP material master and bill of material.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or Business Analytics.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
