Working Student Cat Model

The main duty in this role is to (1) implement a pipeline for enhancing the exposure model using big datasets publicly available and leveraging innovative techniques, and (2) enhance the SCOR view of risk for earthquakes from the enriched exposure model.
- Conducting Nat Cat related research and translate the research insights into positive impacts for the business.
- Leveraging data science and machine learning techniques to enhance the exposure data sets of SCOR with open-access datasets – specially for central and south America.
- Reporting analytics essential for the implementation of a pipeline for ingestion of open-access datasets.
- Making data quality recommendations for improvement in the highlighted regions.
- Working with Cat R&D to enhance the SCOR view of risk for earthquakes. This includes leveraging findings from the research project and modifying existing exposure models to reflect risk changes and to generate business opportunities.
- Supporting in R&D projects for the production environment.
- Student, preferably in mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in data manipulation (programming in python)
