UKSH Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-HolsteinThe CRC 1665 “Sexdiversity”, investigates biological and cultural variants of sex development in a uniquely interdisciplinary approach uniting 27 principal investigators in 17 individual projects between life science, computational biology and the humanities across Germany.
The projects will create diverse data sets from sequencing genome, transcriptomes of tissues and single cells, as well as from social sciences, such as videos, interviews, transcripts, and texts. All data will enter a central data management platform with proper annotation, re-analysis and integration according to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles.
To support the management, analysis, integration and distribution of the research data in the CRC, we seek a researcher working in an interdisciplinary team at the intersections of data management, high-performance computing and translational research in the group of Medical Systems Biology of the UKSH.
During this project, you will have the option to acquire a doctoral degree in either field of data management, big data, machine learning, or personalized medicine.

We seek professional and competent support as a Post-Doc or researcher with a Masters’ degree (m/f/d) at the Institute for Experimental Dermatology, Division of Medical Systems Biology. at the earliest possible date. Employment is initially limited until 31.08.2027.

Your role:
- On the job, you will further develop, implement and oversee the data storage solution for the CRC
- You will develop and implement efficient workflows for Omics data analysis, integration and disseminaton.
- You will develop metadata standards and requirements for quality control and data sharing according to the FAIR and CARE principles.
- You should be familiar working with big data, data analysis and management in a Linux environment.
- Knowledge of life science data is a bonus, but extensive training on the job can be done.
Your profile:
- A background in medical informatics, bioinformatics, data analysis or a related field. A PhD is a bonus, but not a must.
- Ideally knowledge and experience in working with life science data or data management
- Familiar with UNIX/Linux server environments
- Proficient in English and ability and communicate efficiently with collaborators.
