An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst within our Aftermarket Operations team in Derby.

The team is part of the Data & Information area within our Civil Airlines Aftermarket Operations organisation. Data is at the heart of the Rolls-Royce strategy to improve the services we deliver to customers and operate our business effectively. Our focus is on managing data quality and availability to enable us to make the informed decisions vital to delivery and improvement of business forecasting and planning for our Rolls-Royce Aftermarket Operations.

In this role, ​you  will work closely with colleagues across Civil Aftermarket Operations to understand the business needs for acquisition, manipulation and presentation of data. You will propose and implement novel solutions to meet business needs.

What you will be doing:

You will work with data from our engines and you will:

• Actively exploit our data capability, expanding and developing the executive data sets.
• Create a simple, quality foundation of integrated data to support the rapidly growing needs of the business.
• Work within standard project methodology, carry out controlled definition, design, build and test, verification and roll-out of optimised data supply chains.
• Ensure effective management of established data supply chains with the provision of on-going technical support.
• Carry out continual optimisation of tools and techniques in accordance with company policy and challenging where appropriate.
• Bring emerging technologies and best practice into the company to improve data service delivery, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and adequately captured.

• Experience in working with data and good knowledge of data management tools, techniques and technologies.
• Experience in IBM Maximo, MS Access/ MS Excel including VBA COGNOS or other OLAP technologies, Oracle, SAP, PowerApps or similar.
• Drive for delivering results and continuous improvement
• Project and/ or task management experience, preferably in the delivery of IT solutions.
• Skills/experience in managing application of data standards across organisational boundaries.
