About the role:

You'll be joining our growing Financial Risk team, which is responsible for Credit Risk Reporting, analytics, and modelling. We are looking for a talented and driven Data Engineer to help us build a robust analytical data warehouse tailored to our analytical needs.

As an Analytical Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a data warehouse that transforms our data into a structure that supports financial risk comprehensive analytics and reporting. You will work closely with the risk analytics team to understand their requirements and deliver a scalable and efficient data solution.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an analytical data warehouse schema
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes to transform and load data from the database to the analytical data warehouse.
  • Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to gather requirements and ensure the data warehouse meets their needs.
  • Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Document data models, ETL processes, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Provide training and support to the analytics team on effectively using the data warehouse.

  • Design proper monitoring process for different data sources


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 1+ years of proven experience in data warehouse design and implementation.
  • Strong SQL skills. Experience with Google BigQuery is an advantage
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes (e.g., dbt, Apache NiFi, Talend, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data modelling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a non-technical team.
  • Understanding of risk analytics and financial data is a plus.
