About the Role


 As a member of our team, you will contribute to our innovation pipeline and be able to work first-hand with a strong and mature data asset and world-class analytical tools that give us the flexibility to experiment. 
 
Key responsibilities: 
•    Translate business problems into actionable data & analytical products: ideate, business analysis, change management and roll-out activities.
•    Support larger initiatives and projects by providing support in technical (data engineering/analytics business (business analysis/requirement engineering) components, serving as a liaison between te and business stakeholders.  
•    Support the Underwriting community in increasing data literacy and data skill sets. Promote and push user adoption of our product suites. Be the port of call for ad-hoc insights and analytics. 
•    Continuously improve our data asset with our tech counterparts. Enhance our data quality and data governance. 
 
About the Team


Our Team – Treaty Underwriting Data and Analytics within Underwriting Transformation is a global operating team located in Zurich, Munich and Bangalore. The key objective of our still young team is to ideate, build and run data-analytics solutions in close collaboration with key partners in Underwriting and IT.
With these partners we shape the future of a data enabled underwriting, ensuring the power of data is leveraged at the right moment in time of decision making. Effective collaboration, transparency and agility are core values to us. 
 
About You


You have a track record on achieving results and translating ideas into tangible Data and Analytics products. You build on your experiences, but you never stop learning about technology and business environment. You can communicate clearly to different audiences and naturally bring individuals together across countries and functions.

This position is open to candidates of varying experience levels, and the role seniority will be determined by the Individual's expertise and experience.
      
•    University degree with strong quantitative background in spheres as actuarial science; mathematic statistics; physics; engineering; business or economics.
•    At ease in a modern programming language (e.g. Python, SQL). Experience with Palantir as Data & Analytics platform is a plus. 
•    2 or more years of existing experience in insurance/reinsurance underwriting, actuarial field or data analytics product building.  
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, storytelling with Data, as well as the ability to focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture.
 
For more senior candidates/role you have,
•    Product Owner experience to create and continuously improve Data and Analytics products.
•    (Agile) Project experience with focus on data analytics project management.
