Job Description & Summary

PwC’s Digital team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analytics Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Solutions Architect – Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and managing internal data analytics projects, developing innovative solutions and providing expertise to help PwC unlock the value of its data. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, data architecture and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities 

Leadership and management 

• Lead and manage internal data analytics projects from inception to completion. 
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. 

Solutions architecture 

• Design and develop scalable data architectures and solutions that meet internal requirements. 
• Evaluate and recommend data analytics technologies and tools to enhance internal processes. 
• Ensure solutions are aligned with PwC’s best practices and industry standards. 

Subject matter expertise 

• Provide strong expertise in data analytics, including data modelling, data mining, machine learning and statistical analysis. 
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and advancements in data analytics and share knowledge with the team. 
• Serve as the go-to expert for complex data analytics challenges and solutions. 

Internal stakeholder engagement 

• Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and objectives, and translate them into data analytics solutions. 
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. 

Quality assurance 

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data analytics outputs. 
• Implement best practices for data governance and security. 
• Conduct quality reviews and provide feedback to improve project outcomes. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field. 
• Minimum of five to seven years’ experience in data analytics, data architectures or a related role. 
• Proven experience in enterprise data architectures, data modelling and data governance. 
• Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, R, Hadoop, Alteryx and Power BI. 
• Good understanding of advanced analytics techniques such as data mining, predictive analytics and classification models. 
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, and their data services. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. 
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Experience in a consulting environment is advantageous. 

Preferred skills 

• Certifications in data analytics. 
• Experience with big data technologies and frameworks.
