Position Summary

The Manager of Data Operations will be responsible for day-to-day data operations using Best Practices in Data Management for our Transactional, Analytics and Reporting data platforms. The Manager will lead a team of database developers and analysts to monitor data flows through our systems. Manager will also be responsible for continuous improvement to gain efficiencies. The manager is also responsible for all client support tickets. This individual will be responsible for motivating team members and dissolving barriers to organizational advancement. The Manager, like all database professionals, is expected to have deep knowledge and experience in building database solutions. This individual is to have a thorough and current understanding of healthcare data to successfully guide the team. Manager is expected to be hands on with development experience to support the team as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 4 to 8 developers and analysts
  • Work with department leaders to implement strategic projects and initiatives to support continuous improvements to gain efficiencies
  • Define, prepare, execute, and implement data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality
  • Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare coding within our data platforms
  • Perform code reviews to ensure proper QA of data migrations
  • Ensure documentation of all systems, standards and processes is maintained
  • Track work progress and report status via issue tracking system
  • Manage personal and associates’ time appropriately to deliver results
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 8+ years’ experience developing in Microsoft SQL Server
  • 8+ years’ experience with MySQL
  • 5+ years’ experience leading and personnel management of a team of 4 or more developers
  • Experience with Data Warehousing and reporting platforms, preferred
  • Experience with AWS and cloud database technologies is strongly preferred
  • Health care experience, preferred
