About You:

Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, you will work closely with other analysts on the centralized BI team to support all departments across the company with accurate and reliable data and deliver key insights. You will wrangle data from different sources, consolidate and prepare clean and effective datasets, analyze the data to identify opportunities for business growth, and communicate findings to business users. Maintaining our BI platform is a critical part of your job. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain our business intelligence platform to ensure data are accurate, clear, and concise for the end-user.
  • Dive into large amounts of data to extract information, gain insight, and create predictive variables to present within various reports and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports to monitor and analyze performance to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other BI team members to ensure reporting across the company is consistent and accurate and that queries run efficiently.
  • Create and maintain key metric reports tailored for external business partners, such as bank programs and data providers.
  • Work with all departments across the company to ensure accurate representation of KPIs related to each respective area.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sales, marketing, and risk strategies through the collection and consolidation of data-driven analytics.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the annual business plan, providing insight and analysis, as required.
  • Effectively communicate findings and insights to internal team members in a professional, concise, and easy-to-understand way.

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Business, Math, Statistics or related field.
  • 3-5 years of practical analytical experience in a professional environment or business setting, preferably in the Fintech industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL to query relational databases.
  • Advanced skills in using and implementing data visualization tools such as Power BI, D3, Tableau, or DOMO.
  • Strong ability to extract, prepare, manipulate, and analyze large amounts of data to draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Experience showcasing analytical results to business users via verbal and written communication.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Experience with open-source languages such as R, Python is an asset.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams.
