Join us as a Test Automation Architect

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Architect to join our Quality Management team supporting the Fund Services Line of Business. As a Test Automation Architect, you will play a key role in developing and implementing automation strategies for our suite of application. Your responsibilities will include design, develop and execution of Automated Testing Frameworks, ensuring high quality and efficient testing processes that meet BBH standards. If you’re passionate about test automation, this could be a great opportunity for you to join our growing team. 

We expect our ideal candidate to possess:

  • Strong technical skills and expertise in building various automation frameworks.

  • Proficiency in a range of tools and technologies including back-end, API, and front-end automation.

  • Solid English language communication and soft skills as this role will interact with Developers and Business users.

  • The ability to establish and enforce internal standards for code development and infrastructure across your team.

  • At least some experience coaching mentoring and teaching more junior members of the team and providing oversight of contracting resources when required.

Key responsibilities include:     

Analysis/Prioritization:

  • Perform high-level analysis of requirements and design an automation strategy for on-going and future automation efforts.

  • Provide automation estimates for new and on-going projects based on project lifecycle.

  • Determine automation priorities based on expertise and knowledge of the application under test.

  • Help your team with design and coding of complex automated solutions.

  • Ensure automation progress, defects and testing status are reported appropriately to the necessary stakeholders in automation projects.

Technical skills:

  • Highly proficient with object-oriented programming, Strong Java coding a must,  Python highly desirable

  • Strong knowledge in Web UI testing tools like Selenium & Playwright.

  • Experience in creating automation frame works using Junit, TestNG, Serenity & Cucumber.

  • SQL knowledge and database understanding

  • knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest & JIRA)

  • Experience in build tools like Maven, GIT & Gradle.

  • Experience with continuous build system and integration (Jenkins).

  • Experience using API tools and testing using Rest Assured, Jason & Soap UI.

  • Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines and test data management.

Nice to Have skills.

  • Performance testing tools like load runner and NeoLoad.

  • Test Complete.

  • AI tools like Cloud AI platform/Azure machine learning.

Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to automation engineers.

  • Lead project teams in the aspects of technology, industry standard solutions, and tool usage.

  • Oversee day to day activities of team members/consultants.

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (computer science or related)

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience.
