Data Engineer

By joining our team, you’ll work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, startup environment. We are looking for a Data Engineer experienced SQL and Python Engineer with expertise in data warehouse and data migrations. This The ideal candidate will have experience with various ETL (extract, transform, load) tools and has experience in developing ETL processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency. They also have experience in working with large data sets, as well as optimizing SQL queries and improving database performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts and queries to extract, transform, and load data into a data warehouse.
• Design, implement and optimize data models and database schema for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Perform data migrations and integrations between different data sources and systems using Python programming language.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, integrity and performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation of data architecture, data flows, and data lineage.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain data models to support the organization's data needs.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in SQL development and data modeling for data warehousing.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with ETL tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data storage solutions such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with
• technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Desire experience with Ruby or Workato.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
