Data Engineering Team Lead

As the Data Engineering Team Lead, you will guide our analytics platform to optimally support our analytics and business objectives. We need someone passionate about data, people, and leadership, ready to elevate us to the next level.

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

• Ensuring the team’s well-being and leveraging their strengths
• Providing the team with the necessary resources, processes, and roadmaps for success
• Driving initiatives and leading architecture discussions and decisions that ensure long-term success for Veriff's analytics platform, including data warehouse, data lake, and business intelligence services
• Proposing innovative solutions to complex business challenges
• Being hands-on to enhance the data engineering domain
• Setting performance metrics to boost delivery speed and quality

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

• Experience leading a team
• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or software engineer
• A proven track record in building scalable analytics platforms
• Strong communication skills—you can clearly and concisely present findings, both verbally and visually
• Good verbal and written English skills
• Technical proficiency with SQL and tools required to operate a modern analytics platform
• Experience building data warehouses and data lakes using cloud services (AWS)
• An interest in identity verification and online identity
• A collaborative, open-minded, and results-oriented attitude

You’re an especially awesome match if you have:

• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Beam, or Apache Flink
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker
