Data Scientist

Responsibilities

•    Implement data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, including structured and unstructured data to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility for analytical purposes
•    Perform data mining, processing, cleansing, and validation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data used in the construction of analytical systems.
•    Conduct exploratory data analysis, apply statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
•    Create and maintain reports, dashboards and data visualization to present insights and key findings to empower clients and stakeholders with actionable information for informed decision-making.
•    Build and implement machine learning/predictive/optimization models to generate useful insights and make data-driven predictions.
•    Integrate models into systems and run simulations to test their effectiveness.
•    Engage in collaborative efforts with cross-functional implementation teams to formulate and convert problems into actionable insights with high impact, covering diverse core business areas.
•    Identify and propose innovative uses of data to enhance company offerings and solve industry challenges.
•    Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve data science capabilities.
 

Qualifications & Work Experience

•    Proficiency in conducting exploratory data analysis, identifying patterns, and deriving insights using statistical techniques.
•    Ability to work with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and interpretation.
•    Understanding of statistical concepts, and experience in building and implementing machine learning/predictive/optimization models.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey analysis results and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
•    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills

•    Bachelor's degree or Postgraduate degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent qualifications.
•    Proficient in at least one of the following programming skills: Python, SQL. 
•    Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g.Tableau, PowerBI, matplotlib or other python graphing libraries etc) to present data findings in a visually appealing and informative manner.
•    Candidates should ideally have 2-3 years of experience; however, fresh graduates with a strong academic background and relevant skills are also encouraged to apply.
