BI Analyst

At Flutter we are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our exceptional team. As a world-class leader in the sports betting and gambling industry, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive intelligence and analytics to drive our business forward. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and delivering a coherent business intelligence strategy across the Group, ensuring accurate and consistent data analysis is defined and delivered in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

As a Finance Business Intelligence Analyst, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and developing data definitions to support the operations of the Flutter Group, promoting consistency in their utilization.
  • Acting as a key link between the Data team and the business, fostering relationships to understand and consider diverse perspectives.
  • Contributing to the onboarding of additional brands into the Finance Data Delivery Model, including building and orchestrating revenue files.
  • Providing technical assistance and cross-training to other team members.
  • Translating business requirements into specifications for data warehouse design and configuration.
  • Collaborating with core Finance teams to ensure statutory requirements are met, including provision of information for external auditors.
  • Assisting with the rollout of Alteryx Server across Finance teams, streamlining workflows.
  • Using ETL tools to automate data storage and exploring options for making processes more efficient and cohesive.
  • Creating and implementing effective technology guidelines, repeatable processes, and industry standards.

Skills & Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A strong educational background in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with BI reporting and data visualization solutions, with expertise in Looker being a plus.
  • An understanding of financial terms and definitions.
  • An interest in sports and betting.
  • Strong skills in writing SQL queries and designing relational databases, following industry standards.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools.
  • A professional and positive approach, with excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proactivity and innovation, with the ability to identify process improvements and assist in their implementation.
  • Effective collaboration abilities, fostering connections within the team and throughout the organization.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a frequently changing and fast-paced environment.
