Job Description

The ability to perceive, understand and reason about agents in an environment is crucial for realizing autonomous systems. Predicting future motion of agents represents a key task, especially in autonomous vehicles, mobile robots and surveillance systems and is a prerequisite step for motion planning. Motion prediction requires to consider all relevant information sources including prior knowledge, context and to combine it with models learned from data.

This thesis will research new methods for knowledge representation and learning to improve motion prediction and planning of autonomous systems. Particular emphasis will be placed on the representation of heterogenous and relation-based knowledge sources and their combination with learning-based approaches.

  • Perform excellent academic research on knowledge representation and knowledge graph-based machine learning pushing the state-of-the-art by keeping potential industrialization in mind.
  • You are part of a global research team, collaborate with Bosch Business Units as well as academic research groups.
  • Implement and evaluate your algorithms on academic benchmark data as well as Bosch data and systems.
