General DescriptionAs a Data Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your primary focus will be on leveraging key technologies such as BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Vertex AI, Dataflow, and Dataform to develop robust data solutions. You will play a crucial role in enhancing data reliability and ensuring that our systems meet the evolving needs of the business. You will mentor junior team members, simplify complex data concepts for broader understanding, and guide the team through updates and changes. Essentially, you are the driving force behind our data initiatives, elevating our capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Vision: Define and communicate the long-term data architecture vision that is aligned with business objectives.Technology Evaluation: Lead the evaluation and selection of technologies, frameworks, and standards for implementing the data architecture on GCP.Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices for data management and governance across the organization.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership teams and stakeholders to ensure the data architecture effectively meets business needs.Problem Solving: Identify and anticipate complex technical challenges, proposing innovative and effective solutions.Technical Guidance: Provide advanced technical guidance and support to data development and architecture teams.Data Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to data security regulations and industry standards.Innovation Promotion: Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the data team.Mentorship: Mentor and empower team members by sharing your knowledge and experiences.Data Strategy Participation: Actively participate in defining and executing the organization's data strategy.Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and technology partners.Representation: Represent data architecture in internal and external technical and strategic forums.
Requirements:GCP Expertise: Extensive experience with data architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Key Technologies: Proficiency in BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Vertex AI, Dataflow, and Dataform.Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms is essential.
Nice-to-haves:Data Modeling: Strong background in data modeling, ELT processes, and performance tuning.
