Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1.6 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms more productive. Our 10,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across ten African countries, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers' homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve earn 40 percent more profits on the land they enroll with One Acre Fund. Our Kenya program, founded in 2006, is our largest. We operate under the farmer brand Tupande, serving 830,000 farmers and employing 4,000 staff. About the Role
You'll oversee the creation of datasets, design dashboard and reporting solutions and supports additional statistical analysis for the entire organization cutting across all of Tupande’s business teams and departments to get access to and actionable data to inform decisions. You'll report to the Senior Data Analyst in the Back Office Systems Department.
Responsibilities
- Inspire creativity by providing insight, through data, to Tupande’s readiness in meeting new challenges and identifying business opportunities to improve Tupande’s margin
- Be a data partner for all projects you oversee, providing data insights, training and documentation from project brainstorming to completion
- Expand self-service BI, empowering users across all departments to access data directly - we believe in getting data in the hands of those who know it best.
- Perform accurate transformations to create project-specific datasets, and design reports that meet the user needs
- Design Business Intelligence dashboards that give meaningful and accurate insights on performance at different stages of the program e.g. enrolment, prepayment, repayment and product adoption
- Automate dataset and report creation on our data platform Dataiku
- Gather technical user requirements and translate these into accurate statistical data models and reports

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Understanding of BI platforms such as Power BI; Superset, Metabase
- SQL and Python Programming
- Data Modeling: SQL and NoSQL data skills
- Documentation and Project Management skills
- 2+ years of Data Analysis Experience
- Stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English required
