Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Analyst is a key contributor to market research projects, taking on responsibilities that span from data collection tool development to project management, data analysis, and client presentation preparation. This role requires a balance of independent work and collaboration with team members at various levels of experience.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Drafting and testing online data collection tools
  • Formatting surveys and discussion guides
  • Conducting phone and in-person interviews, preparing files for transcription
  • Managing project timelines, providing status reports, resolving issues with fielding of surveys, and serving as liaison with Operations team or outside recruiters
  • Coding qualitative primary and secondary data
  • Cleaning and preparing data in Q professional and/or Excel
  • Analyzing data in Q professional
  • Identifying key data findings
  • Conducting secondary research to address research objectives
  • Authoring sections of final reports and PowerPoint presentations
  • Support responses to client phone calls and inquiries regarding research projects
  • All other duties as assigned

EXPECTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Availability:
    • Full- time, Monday through Friday
    • No travel
    • Frequent team calls late in the day (India time)
  • Independent Work: The analyst should be able to manage their time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments with minimal supervision. They should be proactive in seeking out information, problem-solving, and making decisions within their scope of responsibility.
  • Virtual Team Collaboration: As a member of a virtual team, the analyst must be comfortable using various communication and collaboration tools, such as video conferencing and instant messaging. They should actively participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and provide updates on their progress.
  • Adaptability: The analyst should be flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements, timelines, and team dynamics. They must be able to adjust their work style and communication approach to effectively collaborate with team members across different locations and time zones.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and timely communication is essential for success in a virtual team environment. The analyst should keep their team members informed of their progress, any challenges they encounter, and any support they need. They should also be responsive to emails, messages, and other forms of communication from their colleagues.
  • Accountability: The analyst is expected to take ownership of their work and be accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results. They should proactively communicate any issues or concerns that may impact their ability to complete tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • B.S./B.A in relevant field of study required (e.g., Business, Marketing, Social Sciences)
  • Sound understanding of statistical concepts, research methods, and design
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Project management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels
  • Exhibits an active interest in continuous professional growth and development
  • Must have ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral)

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of a statistical software such as Q, SPSS, or SAS
  • One to three years of market research or pharmaceutical or medical industry-related experience preferred
