Principal Hardware Application Engineer (AI2342)

Job Title: Principal Hardware Application Engineer       Job Location: Bangalore, India   
Job ID: AI2342    Roles and responsibilities (include but not limited to): 

• Responsible for supporting customers adopt and optimize machine learning applications targeting SiMa.ai’s MLSoC and ML IP
• Assist Customers/Partners with new PCB/Systems design efforts
• Guide and support customers through their design cycle from concept to production
• Coordinate internally for board design requests from customers and partners
• Work on platform qualification and debug requests from customers and partners
• Perform thermal and performance analysis for customers and partners
• Manage technical support issues within the customer base
• Work with partners to support joint solutions for customers as appropriate

 Desired background, qualifications, and skills: 

• BS In Electrical or Electronics or equivalent with 12 years of related work experience, or MS with 8 years of experience minimum
• Ability to assist with the PCB initial design, bring up and testing
• Ability to Review PCB schematics and Layout (Orcad/Allegro, Altium etc.)
• Ability to correlate simulations vs measurements.
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Experience with Industrial PC/Edge IoT box, Edge Server bring-up
• Knowledge of SI/PI to assist in Post Layout Analysis (Tools like HSpice, ADS, Ansys etc.)
• Some PCB DFT/DFM knowledge
• Linux scripting (Bash, Python etc.)
