Solution Specialist IV

Oracle investment in data management platform business is growing substantially and we are currently looking for outstanding candidates to join the JAPAC Data Platform OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) Specialists team. 

As a member of OCI Solutions team, successful candidate will cover APAC territory as a subject matter expert for Data Lakehouse services - supporting sales, cloud engineering and partner teams in their cloud pursuits with an objective of exponentially growing cloud consumption. Ideal candidate must have a can-do attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to manage-by-influence and think strategically about business outcomes driven by addressing given technical challenges and expectations.

The successful candidate will:

• Define APAC go-to-market strategy for Oracle Data Lakehouse aligned to global guidance
• Initiate, run and follow up on business development activities and generate demand for Data Lakehouse solutions within the market.
• Deliver sales enablement sessions to help internal sales teams to successfully position Oracle’s value proposition
• Understand customer requirements and convert them into the most appropriate Oracle solution
• Coordinate and contribute hands-on to proof of value/concepts and pilot projects
• Develop and deliver high quality, customized Oracle presentations and live demonstrations to meet customer and partner data lakehouse related requirements
• Handle technical objection leveraging deep technical hands-on experience
• Evangelize data lakehouse value proposition at internal and external events
• Experienced in working with global teams/customers located in multiple geographica locations
• Collaborate with Oracle internal teams and partners – such as Cloud Sales, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Lift Services, Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Consulting and Oracle Partner delivery organisations
• Gather and share real customer use cases to inform product development, marketing, and sales efforts. Create compelling customer success stories.
• Measure and track the outcomes of initiatives to assess impact and inform future strategies.

Experience, Skills and Qualification: 

• University graduate, Masters degree an advantage
• 8+ years of relevant sales and/or business development experience
• Excellent understanding of and hands on experience in open source / big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop stack, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Python, R, NumPy, MatLab, etc
• Experience working with and creating data architectures and data pipeline
• Good understanding of Cloud Data Lakehouse technologies like Databricks, Azure Data Factory is a plus
• Experience in working with a relational database system in an advantage
• Strong technical objection handling skills and experience in interacting with data engineer, data analyst and data scientist personas
• Strong presentation skills and experience interacting with business leaders
• Strong problem solving, organizational, decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of dynamic and multinational teams
• An eagerness to work in a high-pressured, fast moving and challenging environment
• Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
