General Description:
We are looking for a Principal Architect with strong Data Architecture and Engineering hands-on experience to be a strong leader among our team working primarily for UK clients followed by the wider EMEA region. In this position, you will lead analytics and data engineering solutions, working closely with our teams in the region.
We are looking for someone who has:
Solid experience designing and pitching data solutions to different levels of stakeholders, collaborating with pre-sales, and demonstrating technical capabilities for non-technical audiences.Solid experience in architecture design and technical leadership.Solid experience designing, developing and deploying pipelines, data-lakes, data meshes and other data products.Solid experience in understanding, questioning, prioritising and translating business problems into data solutions (BI, analytics, deterministic and statistical models, ML).Solid experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).Experience in identifying, gathering and prioritising non-functional requirements, technical pain points, environment and client constraints.Experience with Microsoft Data Platform on Azure (Fabric),  Databricks or AWS Data Services — especially within the realms of data integration, analysis and visualisation.Experience in data pipeline orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue or Apache AirflowExperience with CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.Experience with IaC.Willingness to work with different technologies and learn every day.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the Data related component of pre-sales engagements and initiatives associated with CI&T Data offers to the market, providing the best solutions to our clients to land the opportunities.Participate in sales pitches to cover the Data related components of a solution during that process.Data & Analytics Thought Leadership.Lead technically the team and enable a multidisciplinary team of data analysts and data engineers to build, enhance, and maintain data products.Work with our UK clients in person and virtually to bootstrap projects, establish and expand relationships with key technical and non-technical stakeholders.Work on various projects, for different clients, in different subject matter domains.Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.Ensure that solutions are following security and performance best practices.Create and maintain technical design and other documentation required by the clients.Understand requirements and make viable technical solutions by choosing appropriate frameworks.Guarantee a stable and productive development environment.
We expect candidates to have knowledge in some, though not necessarily all, of the fields listed below:
Knowledge of non-functional requirements (performance, security, data privacy and protection).Knowledge of design patterns, clean architecture and clean coding.Knowledge of unit, integration and E2E testing.
