Our Ways of Working:We believe that we do our best work when we are together, but also appreciate that everyone works in different ways. That’s why we operate with three working models which look to define where and how our people work - Remote, Hybrid, Site/Office - based. 
Although we believe the majority of our people will choose our hybrid working model (at least 2 days in the office each week), for some of our teams that don't require as much in-person connection and collaboration, we offer fully remote working (with paid travel to the Moonpig office up to 6 times per year).  Remote roles are specified directly on our job adverts

What you’ll be doing:Working within Moonpig’s Data Platform Team, the Data Modeling Manager is responsible for leading a highly talented team of Data Modellers in the design, development, and implementation of data models that support Moonpig’s strategic goals. The Data Modeling Manager works closely with the wider Data function as well as other business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and then translate those needs into data models that are efficient, scalable, and secure. The Data Modeling Manager is also responsible for ensuring that our data models are properly documented and maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Data Modellers in the design, development, and implementation of data models
• Build strong relationships with the wider Data function and other business stakeholders - including Finance, Commercial and Marketing - to understand their needs and requirements
• Work collaboratively with the wider Data Platform Team, and clearly communicate requirements where necessary
• Translate business needs into data models that are efficient, scalable, and secure
• Document and maintain data models
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data modelling technologies and trends
• Work with other members of the Data team to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
• Provide technical support to other members of the Data team
• Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to ensure that the data models are aligned with the business intelligence needs of Moonpig.

You’ll be a great addition to the team if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in data modelling
• Experience with a variety of data modelling tools and technologies
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and data mining concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Strong collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience with Snowflake and DBT would be beneficial.
