Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it's also one of the world's least digitized industries, not to mention one of the most dangerous. That's why we're looking for a talented Data Engineer Intern to join Procore's journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.
As a Procore Data Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds in the industry to learn and deliver on key data initiatives in our Data Platform Team. Projects will be assigned in a way that leverages your strengths and helps you further develop your skillset. Your work will help solve some of the most complex technical challenges in the construction tech industry. The focus of this internship program will be on innovation, continuous learning and improvement, and dealing with real-world construction tech problems. In addition, you will get to network with fellow Procorians for professional and personal development.
Procore Internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks. This position will report to our Manager of Data Engineering, and can be based remotely from any US location.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in the design and development of data products for the Procore Data Platform
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Platform engineers, Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Analysts, and Product leaders on data-related initiatives
- Participate in stakeholders meetings to gather business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
- Help design, implement, and deploy end-to-end data pipelines that collect data from different business systems using state-of-the-art technologies to drive key business decisions
- Understand and help monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline/data infrastructure-related issues
- Optimize existing data workflows to improve efficiencies in terms of cost and performance
- Document workflows and solutions in architectural diagrams and internal data catalog
What we’re looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a Data tech field of study
- 1+ year of experience in SQL and data analysis; 1+ year of experience in one or more scripting languages (Python, Javascript, Powershell)
- Knowledgeable in ETL, Data visualization concepts, and frameworks
- Ability to adapt and learn new tools and technologies used for data processing like- Python, dbt, Snowflake, AWS
- Familiarity with cloud technologies
Additional Information
Base Pay Range $25-$33. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role.
