JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Product owner and scrum master of Astro Metadata System (AMS), responsible for managing the lifecycle of metadata platform and its portfolio. Ensures that all business requirements for downstream payTV / OTT platform are delivered in accordance to business timelines with the most cost effective and compliance manner.

  • Subject matter expert of AMS (Astro Metadata System) that manages all rich metadata, images, and media for presentation and delivery to all downstream Astro products.

  • Plan and provided alignment the to SCRUM team to meet AMS integrations and deliverables with the downstream products.

  • Coordinates and translate product vision to the product roadmap and mapped it to Product, Sprint, and Release backlog.

  • Lead 3rd party software development team to design and develop custom features to meet operational needs.

  • Advocated for developing critical features closely in every sprint in order to identify and resolve product technical issues.

  • Backlogs grooming and prioritization, documenting acceptance criteria and manages the final deliverables on behalf of the operational team and platform.

  • Organises and manages pre-production and post-production platform deployments and supports.

  • Coordinate with 3rd party system integration team to address dependencies and align with the deliverable timelines.

  • Identify and track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

  • Track bugs, manage development tasks, and capture user requirements using JIRA and Confluence Pages.

  • Provides L2/L3 support for any issues related to metadata and VOD platform

  • Provides coaching and training to content solution engineers

REQUIREMENTS:

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 8-10 years of working experience with a Bachelor’s degree in information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

  • 6-7 years of experience in Cloud Application, ideally AWS/Azure/GCP

  • Thorough knowledge of systems, cloud, infrastructure, middleware, microservices, software development, network and especially in 24x7 operations environment

  • Experience in full stack/backend environment, preferably leading a team of software engineers in medium sized development.

  • Experience in agile / scrum software development projects and project management

  • Experience in stakeholders' management both internal and externals.

  • Working knowledge of business systems, content metadata, media orchestration, AI or any media related platform will be an added advantage
