This is your role
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science E-commerce team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) solutions that directly impact our mission to become everyone’s favorite delivery service. You'll play a key role in enabling data-driven decision making across the E-commerce department contributing directly to our strategy while mentoring data scientists in the team. What you will work on:
•    Design and build automated AI/ML solutions for the E-commerce department
•    Ensure high-quality data science solutions through testing, best practices, engineering standards, and lifecycle management
•    Contribute to the advancement of AI/ML at PostNL in our data chapter
•    Achieve impact as a team player, and maintain solid relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders

What you will bring
•    3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or a similar role, with a consistent record of successfully delivering ML solutions
•    Strong programming skills in Python 
•    Experience with data at scale using SQL, Pyspark, Snowflake or similar frameworks
•    Knowledgeable about statistical properties of (good) metrics
•    Experience building libraries/modules in Python
•    Strong understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts
•    Experience with containerizing ML workloads using Docker
•    Knowledge of reporting/visualisation techniques (e.g., Plotly, Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit, etc.)
•    Experience with cloud services in AWS is desirable
•    Familiarity with data science frameworks (e.g. Kedro, Sagemaker, Metaflow)
•    Willingness to dig deep into problems and behind the scenes data to support troubleshooting and bug fixing
•    Experience with API development
•    Good English communication skills

What we offer you
•    A salary between €4.280,00 and €6.062,00 gross per month (scale 10) based on a 37-hour workweek
•    The possibility to work hybrid with flexible working hours. Do you work two or more days a week from home? Then you will receive a €45 net compensation per month
