Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Santa Clara, CA Hybrid Onsite

Job Summary: The Senior BI Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our BI solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and visualization techniques to support the organization’s strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Modelling: Develop and maintain complex data models that support accurate and efficient reporting and analytics.

  • ETL Development: Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the BI environment.

  • Dashboard and Report Development:Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Tableau, or similar platforms.

  • Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the BI environment by adhering to data governance and best practices.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions, ensuring minimal latency and maximum responsiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in BI development, with a strong focus on data reporting, visualization, data modeling, and ETL.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau or similar platform.

    • Strong SQL skills and experience with databases like MySQL, Redshift, SQL Server etc.

    • Experience with ETL tools. Experience with databricks is preferred.

    • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and design.

    • Good understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) is a plus.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

The pay range for this position is $88,700 to $219,638. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
