Position Overview: ShyftLabs is looking for an experienced Data Product Manager to help lead product strategy and roadmaps, manage end-to-end delivery of data products, and assist with overall data governance.
ShyftLabs is a growing data product company that was founded in early 2020, and works primarily with Fortune 500 companies. We deliver digital solutions built to help accelerate the growth of businesses in various industries, by focusing on creating value through innovation.
Job Description: Create and own the data product strategies and data acquisition roadmap for our product.Work with our Data Science team to craft appropriate data models and schemas.Collaborate with data stakeholders to create access layers to our data, via service APIs, and to enable surfacing data to internal consumers.Define data governance that includes maintaining the quality of data, implementation of access control, supporting security efforts, and facilitating end-user consumption.Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and data science teams to gather feedback and requirements. Break down work into releases for users, and shipping software regularly.Provide thought leadership to grow and evolve the Data Engineering function and implementation of the software delivery in building internal-facing data products.Work closely with upstream data teams to define and implement best practices in data instrumentation.Communicate technical insights and recommendations effectively to inform engineering and executive leadership.
Basic Qualifications:5+ years of hands-on experience in data or analytics at a fast-paced company.5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or Data Product Manager.Proven track record of shipping data products.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to build trust-based relationships with business partners.Experience with the following technologies - SQL, Looker (or similar BI tools), Machine Learning, Data Warehouse strategies, and Data Modeling, Snowflake, Data Build Tool (DBT) - is a plus.Knowledge of data pipeline design, with an understanding of integration and data transformation standard methodologies (particularly DBT) - a strong plus.
