Position Summary
Leads the implementation and sustainment of Data Quality capabilities for Vegetation Management. Oversees end-to-end Data Quality processes and serves as key contributor to enable Data Quality for the organization. Develops standards and drives consistency between Data Quality specialists to hone skillsets and provides direction to meet data management standards. Implements and identifies process and data improvements, manages communications, coordinates data remediation. Liaisons between all data governance roles and stakeholders, as well as to the Data Governance Lead and senior leadership as needed.
- This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. The headquarters location is the Oakland General Office.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $129,000
Bay Area Maximum: $207,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $123,000
California Maximum: $197,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and sustain data quality standards and policies
- Define, implement, and sustain criteria for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness
- Operate data cleansing and enrichment processes to correct and enhance data quality
- Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to address data issues on an ongoing basis
- Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure alignment with data quality standards and practices on an ongoing basis
- Document data quality rules, policies, and procedures
- Evaluate and provide feedback to Enterprise IT on the data quality tools that align with VM data needs
- Lead data profiling and assessments to understand the current state of data quality
- Lead the root cause analysis for data quality issues to identify underlying problems
- Monitor and remediate areas of improvement and potential data quality issues
- Implement tools and processes for ongoing monitoring of data quality
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and continuously monitor data quality
- Provide regular reports to leadership on the state of data quality

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and coaching to other team members.
- May serve as a team lead.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of related experience.
Desired:
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
