Job Position Summary:

ACE Group, a leading government contractor, is at the forefront of integrating machine learning into modeling and simulation, as well as validation and verification (V&V) processes. We are seeking a passionate and driven undergraduate student to join our team as a Machine Learning Technician. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing and applying machine learning tools to real-world problems. You will play a critical role in analyzing data flow processes and implementing advanced machine learning tools that drive the future of simulation and V&V processes.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Work under the guidance of experienced engineers and data scientists to assist in the development and deployment of machine learning models for various modeling and simulation applications.
• Participate in data collection, preprocessing, and analysis to support machine learning model training and evaluation.
• Assist in testing and validating machine learning models within simulation environments.
• Contribute to research on emerging machine learning techniques and their potential applications in modeling and simulation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of machine learning solutions into broader project goals.
• Help prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and project progress.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain one).
• Academic or personal experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and frameworks gained through coursework or personal projects.
• Interest in modeling and simulation, with a desire to learn about their applications in various domains.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch through coursework or personal projects.
• Interest in validation and verification processes in the context of simulation.
• Familiarity with basic data science concepts, including data visualization and statistical analysis.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) is a plus.
