Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong business mindset to join our team, focusing on providing analytical insights for our client's Claims department in the insurance industry. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in data analysis to solve complex business problems, drive decision-making, and support process improvement initiatives within the Claims function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Payout Analysis: Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact business operations, enabling data-driven decisions and process improvements.
  • AI & Advanced Data Analytics: Contribute to cutting-edge AI and data analytics projects, applying innovative techniques to enhance claims management.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct targeted analysis on claims-related topics, such as claims disputes, fraud detection, and the impact of new regulations or industry trends.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Claims department stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into analytical requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Data Quality Monitoring: Continuously monitor and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, proactively addressing any discrepancies.

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business) with a strong focus on data analysis.Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a business setting.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
  • Strong experience with data analysis techniques and tools, including SQL, Power BI, R, and Python.
  • Familiarity with SAS is a plus.
  • Experience in Non-Life insurance or working with Claims data is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Expertise in SQL, Power BI, R, and Python.

Business Acumen:

  • Ability to understand and communicate business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Good to fluent proficiency in Dutch and/or French.
