About the positionAs a Data Engineer at Cognite, you will have the unique opportunity to create and deliver solutions that address the most significant challenges faced by our industrial customers. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data infrastructure and robust pipelines, connecting data from diverse sources. Your work will play a pivotal role in empowering our clients to make impactful business decisions.

A typical day as a Cogniter will contain the following tasks & responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion
• Manage integrations, data modeling, and analysis with Cognite connectors, SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs
• Create custom data models for discovery, mapping, and cleansing
• Collaborate with teams to deliver projects that maximize the potential of our DataOps platform
• Support customers and partners in data engineering tasks using Cognite products
• Implement Cognite's proprietary AI solutions for data onboarding, incorporating recent developments in Gen AI and LLMs
• Travel to customers on projects all over Europe, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the success of diverse industries across the continent.

We believe most of these should match your experience

• Graduating with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education
• Experience with Python, SQL, Rest APIs and Git
• Enjoys working in cross-functional teams
• Able to independently investigate, solve problems and learn quickly
• Humility to ask for help and enjoy sharing knowledge with others.
