PowerBI Developer

Job Description & Summary

Currently we are looking for experienced BI Developers to join our Data Solutions Practice. The scope of a role of a BI Developer in our company is extensive, it involves more than just creation of reports. It also entails tasks of a data engineer - development of the backend part of the solutions as well as direct collaboration with the business stakeholders.

• Participate in Data Analytics Platforms delivery for customers from variety of industries,

• Work with customers to understand their needs, present and discuss results of your work e.g. reports prototypes, proposed data visualizations, final reports & dashboards etc.

• Design and build reports and dashboards in Power BI (and\or other reporting tool depending on professional experience and client requirements),

• Analyze data sources, integrate data, identify gaps and inconsistencies in data,

• Analyze and design of data models,

• Support design and implementation of data ingestions processes,

• Share your knowledge with less experienced teammates,

• Contribute to standards and delivery guidelines used in our Data Solutions Practice.

Must have: 

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in design, build and deploy of reports using Power BI

• At least 1 year of commercial experience in end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence solutions (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Databricks, MS SQL Server, Azure Synapse)

• Very good knowledge of SQL, DAX, M languages

• Strong understanding of the business processes and professional terminology from at least 2 industries (e.g. Retail, Finance, Automotive, Logistics)

• Excellent communication skills:

- Ability to accurately and in-depth explain complex issues

- Ability to present the final solution to technical and non-technical

stakeholders

- Ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and front-end

developers

• English C1

Nice to have: 

• Good command of German

• Commercial experience with Tableau, Qlik or other BI tools

• Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Fabric

• Familiarity with basics of Python language (e.g. pandas, numpy)

• Knowledge of basic Data Governance / Data Management topics

• Basic understanding of AI / ML concepts
