This is a great moment to join us as we are hiring a Data Engineer to support the Systematic Equity Group with monitoring, building, and improving Data Pipelines. The position is based in our Frankfurt office. 

We are operating a hybrid work week approach with three or more days onsite presence. 

What you will do

• Support the well-established Systematic Equity Team with Development, Implementation, Maintenance and Optimization of Data Pipelines for large and complex (financial) data sets
• Understand and formulate data processing pipelines that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
• Implement robust scalable applications
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, quant researchers, and system architects to understand team goals. 

What you bring

• Track record as Data Engineer 
• Proficiency in Python, R, SparkSQL, (T-)SQL 
• Professional experience with cloud solutions, data warehousing and data lakes, in particular Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Delta Tables and SQL Server  
• Proficiency in English, proficiency in German is a plus  
• Proactively contribute ideas for improving the teams’ productivity and code quality 
• Build technical solutions required for optimal transformation and loading of data from different sources 
• Design and implement systems that can scale to enrich, understand, and process gigabytes of data between heterogeneous data stores 
• A passion for good quality code 
• Interest in financial industry topics 
• Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, and structured 
• Service attitude and process orientation 
• Ability to work within a team and independent.
