As a data science intern at Gallup, you will apply your knowledge of statistics, math and machine learning with an emphasis on nonparametric and nonlinear methods (e.g., random forests, support vector machines, neural networks) to a wide variety of challenging problems.

What you need:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate school program at a college or university within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska, and working toward a degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, math or a related field required; anticipated August 2025-May 2026 graduation date preferred
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer in Omaha required; must be available to work Monday-Thursday in our Omaha Riverfront office, with the option to work remotely on Fridays
  • Classroom or work experience coding in a data science environment using Python (e.g., Pandas, Tensorflow, Keras, Matplotlib) required
  • Aptitude in programmatic statistical analysis and modeling (univariate analysis or multivariate analysis) required
  • Experience with nonparametric and nonlinear methods required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States required
