About the Role & Program
The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team is responsible for supporting clients across The Walt Disney Company including Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP), Disney Entertainment (e.g., ABC, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Theatrical, etc.), ESPN (ESPN Networks, ESPN+), and Corporate Finance.

DDSI leverages technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical, and econometric modeling to build innovative tools that craft business decisions and drive business value. Key partners to the DDSI organization include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Research, and Operations. Roles within DDSI develop, analyze, and implement strategies to increase profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders!

The timeline of this internship is from January through June 2025.


What You Will Do
As an intern, you will make an impact by:

  • Supporting the development of complicated decision support & pricing engines for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts globally, with particular focus on Park Revenue Management

  • Supporting efforts to develop sophisticated yet efficient Tableau data visualizations for the client to support the decision-making process, as well as designing and building source data tables to improve visualization performance

  • Building automated data validation processes, supervising those processes, and collaborating with Data partners to resolve data issues

  • Extract data for analysis, seek out answers to business problems, and look for opportunities to automate processes

  • Build and deliver polished presentations to optimally communicate sophisticated concepts, key insights, findings, and recommendations in a concise and actionable manner


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience using Python, SQL and Tableau

  • Strategic problem-solving & analytical skills

  • Knowledge of database structure

  • Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving business environment and balance multiple priorities

  • Ability to prioritize and set deadlines

  • Ability to detail technical requirements and processes

  • Experience collecting & analyzing data and reporting on the results

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of forecasting and optimization methods and techniques


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality and/or Resort Operations

  • Knowledge of revenue management

  • Experience developing, troubleshooting, and scheduling Python code

  • Able to work autonomously with little direction or supervision


Education
Currently enrolled as a Senior or graduated within six months (6) months of application submission, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an analytical field including Computer Science, Computer Programming, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or other related quantitative field at an accredited college or university


Preferred Education
Currently enrolled as a Graduate level student, or graduated within six months (6) months of application submission, pursuing a master's or higher, in a relevant quantitative field comparable to those mentioned above, at an accredited college or university


Eligibility Requirements & Program Information


Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization


Additional Information

  • The timeline of this internship is from January through June 2025

  • Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
