Job Summary: 

The Data Quality and Specification Specialist is an integral part of the Procurement & Quality team, responsible for overall provisioning, implementation in the system and maintenance of the organization’s Quality data and Suppliers Specifications 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the following tasks:  

  • Request and collection of data and product specifications from suppliers 

  • Setting up and maintaining collected data in the system; First verification of data in the specification management system, based on customer quality requirements and preparation for approval process. 

  • Point of contact for delegated suppliers; Contacting suppliers in case of incomplete information and clarification until the necessary data is collected and maintained.  

  • Keeping records of all processed specifications, customer requests and reporting on the status and progress to the superior  

  • Ensure and monitor the efficient and effective execution of the day-to day operations in alignment with the customer requirements.  

  • Identify process improvements and harmonization of standards, propose, and align with relevant interfaces and stakeholders. 

  • Ensure that the services offered, and the quality provided are in line with the SLA and quality standards agreed. 

  • Providing administrative support in creating reports if requested by superior. 

  • Communication of the issues to responsible parties.  

 

Qualifications 

Education: 

  • University degree or equivalent experience. 

 

Work Experience:  

  • Basic work experience (e.g. in Specification Management, Quality Management, Procurement, Food Technology, Organizational Sciences…) will be considered as advantage  

  • Knowledge of Food Compliance and European food legislations will be considered as a plus 

  • Work with a large number of lines/products and proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator will be considered as advantage 

  • Ability in working in a data service center environment.  

  • Knowledge of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council , GFS standards, Halal requirements will be considered as advantage 

 

Technical Skills:  

  • Knowledge Microsoft Applications; Proficient  in Excel (running and creating functions (VLOOKUP as most important), pivot tables, and charts) 

  • Knowledge of SAP preferable 

 

Language / Communication Skills: 

  • Fluent in English  

  • Fluent in German, oral and written (other EU languages) will be considered as advantage. 

 

Other skills: 

  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks; Well-structured. 

  • Deductive skills (able to use reason and logic to come to conclusions about a situation) 

  • High level of concentration and patience 

  • Good written and communication skills 

  • Typing speed and accuracy 

  • Attention to details. 

  • Quality approach mindset  

  • Customer orientation 

  • Ability to work in a data service center environment. 

  • Ability to operate independently and within a team. 

  • Experience with MS Office and data programs 

  • Open attitude for an international working environment.
