About the Houston

 

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

 

By bringing many global functional groups together, the campus provides employees with the tools and capabilities needed today, and in the future, to achieve business objectives and accelerate the discovery of new resources, technologies and products. What role you will play in our team

 

Seeking a cloud data developer with skills in data engineering, cloud technologies, security, and project delivery. They will work a diverse set of projects covering many upstream oil and gas domains and use cases. We prefer they have the following skills (not all are required): Azure, AWS, GCP, SQL, python, Linux, Windows Servers, SAML, OpenID/o Auth, Apache Airflow, DevOps, and CI/CD tools.  

What you will do

 

  • Create pipelines between clouds, or premises. 
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business reporting and/or data needs 
  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions in one or many cloud environments
  • Improve existing capabilities by developing automated solutions
  • Strategic leader in creating mechanisms and establishing best practices

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 + years of professional or military experience (preferred)
  •  Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  •  Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, etc.)
  •  Experience with theory and practice of security, implementation, and impact on solutions 
  •  Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Programming Language Skills, Cloud technologies, and experience delivering end to end solutions.
  • Collaboration, Communication, Co-Development, Version Control
     

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/ Experience

 

  • Ability to work with others and work large scale projects. Quality documentation and communication to management. Proven capabilities in delivering solutions to a customer.
  • Experience building measures and metrics, and developing end to end solutions
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design"
  • Python, SQL, AWS, Azure, and Databricks
