About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Reporting & Analytics Supervisor to join our Reporting & Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) based in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial reporting and have expert-level experience in developing Power BI dashboards. This role requires a strategic thinker with a knack for problem-solving and the ability to build SQL procedures and Power Apps.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial dashboards using Power BI by transforming raw data into cohesive, valuable reports capturing meaningful business insights.
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain interactive interfaces using Power BI including data visualizations, dashboards and reports.
  • Create custom visuals for KPIs to represent complex financial data and metrics, implement row-level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
  • Creating complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses to optimize the performance of Power BI reports.
  • Design, build and maintain SQL procedures for data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL) processes, and interpret advance SQL queries data for reporting and analysis.
  • Develop high quality data documentation about algorithms, parameters and models
  • Have a strong understanding of financial concepts and conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential business risks, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Supervise a team of analysts and oversee the reporting process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Work closely with Global stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-quality reports and visualizations that meet their expectations.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity and security of financial data by implementing robust controls and compliance measures, conducting regular reviews, data validation and troubleshooting, and maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reporting practices, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in reporting and analytics tools and techniques

Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in developing and optimizing complex Power BI solutions
    • Proven ability to design and implement scalable data models
    • In-depth knowledge of data integration techniques and tools
    • Experience with data pipeline orchestration and automation
    • Advanced knowledge of DAX calculations and multidimensional data modeling
    • Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse concepts
    • Strong experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
    • Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and SQL queries
    • Ability to architect end-to-end BI solutions, including data ingestion, storage, and presentation layers
    • Familiarity with advanced analytics and machine learning concepts for enhanced data insights
    • A strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform services including its capabilities, boundaries and constraints, and tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages would be highly desirable.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in in computer science, information science, finance and data analytics, or related fields.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in financial reporting and analytics, with 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Power BI developer with excellent track record. Power BI certifications are a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
