At MS Amlin Business Services (ABS) we provide Business Intelligence Platforms and Datasets to the MS Amlin Group of companies which enable them to report and analyse their data. This role is contributing to the development of the Data Engineering Platform including data warehouse and business intelligence dataset build.

Being a key player in the delivery of platform change your typical week would involve
- Developing our Data Warehouse using Azure / SQL Server
- Designing and updating Power BI Dataset Models
- Attending Sprint Stand Ups and Planning Sessions to collaborate with the team

What you’ll need:
For this particular role there are levels of knowledge and experience we need you to have. These include:
- Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Kimball Data Warehousing Design Principles
- Have 5+ years’ experience in developing databases using ETL Tooling (Microsoft SQL Stack)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in building semantic layers / datasets in Business Intelligence tooling (Power BI desirable)
- Experience in moving on prem databases to cloud (Azure) is desirable
- Experience with Azure DevOps / TFS is desirable
- Experience in Agile Development Methodologies is desirable
- Insurance Industry experience is desirable

What Can You Expect From Us?
- Competitive Base Salary
- Performance Related Discretionary Bonus
- Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days
- Pension: A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%)
