Job Summary:

This position is within the Business Transformation Department and will provide research, planning, analysis, and reporting activities in support of LUMA’s Renewable Energy Program(s). The Business Transformation team is responsible for managing programs and initiatives that will transform the utility towards renewable energy, grid modernization, and distributed energy resources.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain databases and analytical tools used to track, forecast and report on interconnection applications and other key performance indicators.
• Manage large data sets and help prepare detailed analytical reports.
• Prepare reports and analysis for responding to regulatory and stakeholder requests.
• Contribute to the development and integration of the customer application Portal for the Net Energy Metering Program.
• Work closely with program supervisors and managers to support the delivery of distributed generation programs and projects. Conduct research and analysis to support the implementation and continuous improvement of distributed generation interconnection processes and standards.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, such as statistics, data analysis and data visualization.
• Collaborate across functional areas on change management initiatives to transform Renewables Program systems and processes.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal staff and external stakeholders. Promote teamwork, a positive work environment, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project planning skills to work independently in a complex and dynamic environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills to relay information in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
• Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Follow all policies and procedures.
• Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description:

Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or related area.

Preferred Education:
• Master’s Degree in a branch of knowledge specific to the requirements of the position, from an accredited university or college.

Experience:
• Two years of experience in activities related to the position.

Preferred Experience:
• Experience with programs such as Excel, Power BI, R, Python or other data management applications is an asset. General knowledge of electric utility business processes and the IT systems that support them.
